Campbell Griffith

Campbell spent the first 10 years of his professional life with Arthur Andersen before moving on to spend 9 years as a corporate recovery partner at Deloitte. For the past 5 years he has undertaken a number of corporate finance and restructuring assignments working with private companies and banks to raise finance or manage risk and performance.

Recent assignments have spanned a wide range of sectors such as construction, leisure, manufacturing and hi-tech companies with turnovers from £1 million to £100 million.

Gordon Christie

Gordon trained with Arthur Andersen in Aberdeen before moving to its Corporate Restructuring department in Glasgow where he became partner in 1993.

Recent assignments have included assessing the viability of options for both lenders and borrowers, assisting Directors manage difficult banking relationships, detailed risk assessments for lenders and hands on implementation of restructuring plans. He is the former Chairman (and is still a member) of the Scottish Technical Committee of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and has provided expert opinion in a number of litigation cases.

Robin McGregor

Robin McGregor is a Corporate Finance director of Christie Griffith. Robin is both a qualified Solicitor and a Chartered Accountant and retains valid practising certificates for both professions. Robin has a comprehensive background in Corporate Finance with one of the largest international accountancy firms before joining the corporate banking team at the Clydesdale Bank. In 1998 he joined the British Linen Bank and was involved in a number of listed transactions. In 1999 he was one of the MBO team that created British Linen Advisers. On a successful completion of a fundraising for a client he was invited to join the board initially as finance director and then as managing director. In 2003 he negotiated the sale of those businesses to a venture capital house.

Gordon Fairbrother

Gordon was a senior career banker with Bank of Scotland, before joining Christie Griffith in July 2004. He was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland in 2001.

During his 36 years with Bank of Scotland, Gordon gained a wide level of banking expertise and experience, particularly in the funding and management of an array of business enterprises. Much of this experience was gained in the role of managing the Bank of Scotland business in East Kilbride and Queen St, Glasgow. On the formation of HBOS plc, Gordon was appointed, Senior Director, Sales and Customer relationships, UK. This was a senior management position in Business Banking, where he led and managed a team of 800 people across the UK. In this role, he achieved an impressive track record of growth and profitability, in a very competitive environment. He successfully engineered radical organisational change, which delivered improved sales effectiveness and personal face to face business banking relationship to the SME business sector.

Gordon applies his management skills to business re-organisation, turnaround and strategic planning. He provides a critical dimension to to Christie Griffith in their work in giving "clear direction" to businesses in Scotland.
